Recycle your stretched plastics at Brayton - help us get a bench!
Brayton's Fourth Grade Girl Scout Troop 42856 would like to help our community responsibly recycle stretched plastics.
If our community can collect more than 500 pounds of plastic refuse (about 40,500 plastic bags), Trex® will donate a high-performance composite bench to Brayton Elementary.
Instead of throwing away your stretched plastics, have your child bring the plastics to Brayton's lobby and place them in the labeled box. The Girl Scout troop will responsibly recycle it. See below for what can be recycled. Questions? Email at troop42856@gmail.com
The goal of the Summit Wellness Symposium is to provide an opportunity for the entire community to come together to recognize that Community Health is Everyone’s Responsibility. Aligned with Summit Public Schools' District Goal, the Summit Wellness Symposium will feature a keynote speaker and a menu of break-out sessions for parents/guardians to attend. Attendees will leave the event with a toolkit of skills and strategies to support their children’s mental health and wellness. To further engage the community in this event, dinner and babysitting will be provided. Local non-profit organizations and other local agencies will have tables set up in the lobby to offer additional resources and information.
Parenting with a Purpose - Parenting Coach Dr. Hope Seidel
For our April General PTO meeting, the Brayton PTO is excited to welcome parenting coach Dr. Hope Seidel!
Parent with Purpose, a talk lead by Dr. Hope Seidel
As high achieving parents, it can often feel like the skills that fuel our success don't translate well into parenting. This talk will shed light on why parenting can sometimes feel so challenging, and how to be a haven for our children in a culture that focuses on outcomes and success.
Hope Seidel is a mom of two young adults, a (board certified ) pediatrician, a certified parenting coach and a passionate advocate for children’s wellness. A partner for 21 years at her medical practices in North Carolina, she recently retired in December of 2023. She began her private virtual coaching practice “Parent with Hope” in 2020. She now works full time supporting high achieving parents to create more connection with their kids, confidence in their parenting and wellness in their homes.
